Responsibilities
The Capex strategic buyer will be responsible for managing the whole purchasing process for capital expenditure projects that have been agreed centrally for far east sourcing, ensuring timely and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services required for infrastructure development, equipment purchases, and facility expansions.
This position is a transversal position and will work on worldwide projects for multi divisions, sourcing and contracting with far east suppliers in conjunction with the European global capex purchasing counterparts.
Requirement
Education & Experience
- Master's’ degree in business or engineering (specialized in purchasing), with interest in technical products purchasing aspects.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in Purchasing in industry.
- Experienced in purchasing for a multi-site company.
- Market intelligence experience in the Chinese capex sector.
Skills
- Be autonomous and able to integrate fast in a new organization.
- Strong negotiation skills and ability to influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Language skills: Mandarin and English (mandatory), and French (desirable).
- Travel requirement: 50%, worldwide, mainly in China/Far East.
